---Where were you born?
I was born and raised in Saiwai-cho, Kurashiki-City. I currently live in Mizushima near my in-laws.
---Tell us about your family.
My wife,my ten year old daughter,and six year old son. The four of us.
---How would you describe Saiwai-cho?
There's not much worth mentioning except the Kurashiki Central Hospital. There are many small stores and I can purchase everything I need around here. I know everyone in my neighborhood. I have known the master of the café "Mon Cheri" and the lady running Yamazaki Bread Store since I was a child.
---How do you make your living?
I work for Arita Insatsujo (printing company).
---Where do you often go?
In Mizushima,it's "Geruz"(handmade leather goods shop) and "Ajito"(custom made bike shop). In Kurashiki,I'd say "Mon Cheri."My grandmother goes there everyday and I sometimes accompany her.
---What are you into right now?
Skateboarding. I began after I turned thirty. It's pretty tricky and I lost 7kg practicing.
---How would you like to be ten years from now?
I'd like to be just like I am today,always smiling. I'd like to be full of curiosity and trying new things. I wouldn't want to turn down anything new just because I've never done it before.
---What is Kurashiki for you,Mr. Arita?
I became to appreciate having Kurashiki as my hometown after turning thirty.
